Makeover for playground in popular North Norfolk village of Aldborough

A children’s playground in the north Norfolk village of Aldborough has been given a major makeover.
We teamed up with Aldborough Parish Council to install new equipment and lighting at the playground off Tinkers Close.
The playground now boasts a brand-new roundabout, replacing an old playhouse, as well as repainted furniture, play equipment, and even the playground’s lampposts, making for a brighter and safer space for local families.
The work was carried out by our Neighbourhood team, led by neighbourhood officer Neil Turner, with the roundabout installed by Playscapes Playgrounds. The project was also made possible thanks to a contribution from supplier Travis Perkins through its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) fund.

Neighbourhood operations manager Joe McNeill said: “It needed some love and we’re really pleased with how it’s turned out, and to see people using and enjoying it. It looks bright and refreshed, and we’re happy to be able to do this for the community.
“We’re always looking to do what we can for our local areas, and we’re really grateful for the engagement and support to make this happen.”
Tina Hooker, an Aldborough parish councillor, said: “We’re so pleased to be building this relationship with Victory and with Flagship, and this playground looks fantastic. It’s such a great thing to have spaces like this to complement other spaces like the main village green.
“There’s already been such a good reaction to it, and the local children have been so excited to see the new equipment.”
